The present at the archaeological excavations of Fiesole are composed of a Roman Theater, Terme, the Temple Etruscan-Roman and the Archaeological Museum. This area is located between via Duprè, because of Etruscan walls and so Bandini. Inside are exhibits belonging to the third century BC and the second century d.C. The first excavations were carried out during 1809, through the work of Prussian baron Friedman Schellersheim, the first to have carried out excavations in a farm, called Holes of Fate, which found ruins from the Roman period. In 1873 the City purchased the land, which had opening of new excavations, while in 1878 it instituted in the palace Pretorio Museum with a first exposure of the material found.
